SOULRNR RUN CLUB
Privacy Policy
The short version: your miles are yours, your reflections are private, we don't sell anything about you, and you can delete everything whenever you want.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in codes), the name you give your coach, your identity statement, whether you use miles or kilometers, and whether you're an athlete or a coach.
- Runs: GPS route, distance, pace, splits, elevation, and a small record of how well the GPS worked and the weather at your start — for runs you start in the app, import from Apple Health, or add by hand. For every run you choose whether it's visible to the club or private.
- Reflection: mood check-ins and journal entries. These are private to you. No other athlete and no coach can read them.
- Community: messages you post in club chat, courses you build and share, cheers you give, and — only during a live club session you've joined visibly — your live position and your name.
- Coaching: your conversations with the AI coach, plus the recent run and mood context used to personalize its replies. Only you can read your coach conversations.
- Your phone: if you turn notifications on, the token your phone gives us to deliver them. In the native app, which version you're running, so updates reach you.
- How the app is used: first-party events like a run started, a run saved, an update check, or a notification switched on. We use them to keep the app working and to see what the club actually uses. There is no third-party tracking and no advertising SDK in this app.
How we use it
- To run the app: track your runs, show your progress, power the club feed, and let the coach respond with context.
- Today's pace and your pace trend are worked out from your own history, the temperature, and your usual hills — for you, and shown only to you.
- AI coaching is processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Your coach conversations and training context are sent to Anthropic to generate replies and are handled under their commercial data terms (not used to train their models).
- Weather: when you start a run — and for runs you import or add later — we send the starting location's coordinates and the date to Open-Meteo, a weather service, to get the temperature and humidity at that place and time. No account, no name, no identity goes with it; just coordinates and a date. For a run without a route, we use your usual starting area instead and mark the reading as approximate. The weather is stored with the run so your pace can be compared fairly across seasons.
- Maps: your route map and the club map load their tiles from OpenStreetMap. Like any map, the tile server sees which areas of the map your phone requests.
- Sign-in codes and account emails are delivered via Resend. The app is hosted on Vercel, and your data is stored with Supabase in the United States.
- Coaches receive a daily summary of club activity: counts of runs, check-ins, and sign-ups. Numbers, not your private content.
- We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use third-party advertising or tracking of any kind.
Location
- Location is used only during a run you started. In the native app that includes while your screen is off or the phone is in your pocket — that is what lets the run be measured — and it stops the moment you end the run. The web app can only track while the screen is on. We never track your location when you are not running.
- If you join a live club session and choose to be visible, your position is shown to the other athletes in that session while it runs. Choosing Private means your position never leaves your phone.
- Your finished route is saved with the run. A club-visible run shows its route to the club; a private run shows it only to you.
Apple Health and Apple Watch
- If you connect Apple Health, SOULRNR writes your finished runs to Health so they count toward your Activity rings, and — if you enable it — reads workouts and heart-rate data your watch or other apps recorded, so your full running life appears in one place.
- Imported workouts get the same weather lookup as recorded runs, so they can be compared fairly with everything else.
- Health data stays between your device, your Health app, and your SOULRNR account. We never use Health data for advertising or marketing, never sell it, and never share it with third parties. Disconnecting is one switch in your phone's Health settings, any time.
Who can see what
- You: everything that's yours.
- The club — athletes and coaches alike: your club-visible runs (route, distance, pace, splits), what you post in club chat, courses you share, your live position when you've chosen to share it, and share cards you choose to share.
- Coaches: the same as any athlete, plus the daily activity counts. Coaches cannot read your journal, your check-ins, or your coach conversations. These rules are enforced in the database, not just promised here.
- Nobody else.
Your control
- Every run can be private. Every reflection is private, always.
- Notifications can be turned off in your phone's settings at any time. Apple Health can be disconnected the same way.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, runs, journal, check-ins, courses, messages, notification tokens, and coach history are all erased. Nothing is retained.
- Questions or requests about your data: support@novarahq.io.
Security and children
- Everything travels encrypted. You sign in with a code sent to your email — there is no password to leak. Access rules live in the database, so what a coach or another athlete can see is decided by code, not by trust.
- SOULRNR is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you're under 18, train with a parent's or guardian's okay.
Who we are

- This policy is effective September 4, 2026 and replaces the July 28, 2026 version. It covers the SOULRNR RUN CLUB web app and the iOS app. If it changes materially, the date here changes and we'll say so in the app.
